The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. the location was great, very close to many restaurants and stores. the pool was enjoyable and not too crowded.
The staff was not attentive and did not seem interested in helping with our requests. the food selection was limited and not very appetizing.

Semara (not to be confused with Semaya) is a beautiful new resort centrally located with excellent service and attentive staff that try hard to please. The pool area, day spa and grounds are all excellent and the meals are of a high standard even if some of their delivery is a bit jumbled. Stayed there on two separate occasions in a week and would happily stay there again however their room rates can be over the top.
Central paving is an ankle breaker for the women. I introduced a business associate to the hotel and they were quoted double what I was paying and booked online for the same price as mine. Hard to comprehend when many rooms vacant.

The hotel staff here is very competent and just steps away there's a place called Biku where you can enjoy a meal.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is not near to a nice beach but there are a few restaurants and cafes nearby. It has a lovely pool and trips can be organised from here to see more of Bali. The rooms are lovely and spacious and have a nice balcony - in the suite rooms anyway. Bathroom/shower is very good. I would recommend this hotel if you are not bothered about being on the beach. The super friendliness of the staff and the lovely rooms make your stay pleasurable.
The beach which is close by is not particularly nice so if you are after a beach this is probably not the right place. However, other than that it is a great place to stay.

It was easy to get to jalan pantai kuta and jalan petitenget was also really close to this place. Biku Cafe, where you can eat, is walking distance to the hotel. Sunny balcony was a bonus.

The hotel is located just out of the main Seminyak strip but is still close to nice restaurants and shops. It is also within walking distance to the beach, although some reviews mention that the beach is not very clean. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms that have luxurious amenities. the service provided by the staff is friendly and accommodating. the breakfast offers a variety of options and is delicious. the hotel also has facilities such as a pool, spa, fitness center, and kids club.
Some reviews mention that staying near the pool can be noisy, as you can hear people passing by the rooms.

Had a decent Christmas here. The food was good, and I loved the complimentary drinks on arrival. The hotel is in a great location, close to some amazing restaurants and shops. Plus, the pool area was quite nice, with plenty of seating available.
The rooms were not what we expected. They were quite small and outdated.

Great location and friendly staff
We booked and paid for a poolside room. However we did not get this. They claim to have upgraded us to the executive suite however we would have still preferred the poolside room. We asked to be moved to the correct room but there were none available. Our friends also experienced the same issue so I think this happens alot and they say you get a upgrade but I didnt feel it was an upgrade.

The swimming pool is nice and big. The room and bath are spacious.
The staff are courteous but very robotic and the service is not personable at all. They won't go out their way to accomodate your requests. The wifi never seems to work. I was there for 6 days and could hardly use the network, not in the room or outside the main area. The food is average. You can get better food if you walk out the streeet or take a cab to Jalan Oberoi/ Jalan Seminyak. The location, although in Seminyak, its at the end of Petitinget road, quite far away from other shopping/eating/fun areas. Its a nice hotel but there are much better options.

Close position to great bars & restaurants like potato head, ku de ta, w, la luciola & biku. Resort was neat & tranquil.
There were a few hiccups with check in & it took 2 hrs to get our room which stuffed our day a bit. A few other mistakes with food orders etc but I think with time & experience this things will sort themselves out, as it is only a few months old.
